Hemp Fine Art Prints

Introducing hemp fine art prints by Potography!

Upload your photos and artwork with a few clicks and we’ll print it on one of the most sustainable fine art papers in the world.

We print our hemp fine art prints on an award-winning paper made with 60% hemp and 0% trees. The paper was designed specifically for printing fine art and photography; it’s acid and lignin-free and fully archival, which means it will last for decades if not generations to come.

Our hemp fine art prints are printed in house in all common print sizes by Potography or our sister company, Custom Hemp Solutions, to ensure the highest quality and attention to detail. Custom large-format printing sizes are available by special request.*

Along with using the best hemp fine art paper available, we regularly and carefully calibrate our print systems—from our monitor to the printer— to ensure the highest degree of color accuracy.

We love printing cannabis-inspired art on our cannabis-based papers, but we’re happy to print any images you’d like!

Please review the File Setup Guide below before uploading your print files.

File Setup Guide – Hemp Fine Art Prints

File Types

We prefer PDFs or vector files, but we accept a variety of file types. Here’s the full list of accepted file types (please note some custom jobs may have specific file requirements):

  • Adobe PDF (.pdf), Illustrator (.ai), and Photoshop (.psd)
  • JPG/JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg)
  • PNG (.png) and EPS (.eps)
  • TIFF (.tiff)

Please remember to flatten transparencies and convert text to outlines before sending us your files— and don’t forget to keep an original unedited copy for yourself!

Resolution

All files must have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch) at the desired print size. This means, depending on the model you use, phone pics might not make the cut.

If your image is below the minimum required resolution, but you still want it printed, send an email to prints@potography.com and we’ll see what we can do.

CMYK, RGB, or PMS?

We ask that you submit all files in CMYK color. Some projects may require different color modes. If this applies to your project, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Bleed and Safe Zone

Files with design elements extending to the edge of the product— such as borderless photos— must include .25” of bleed (extension beyond the cut line) as well as at least .125” safe zone (the area between edge and any critical design elements).

Designs for small products, thicker papers, and custom-shaped products should use larger safe zones. Designs for scored products should apply the document safe zone value to each side of the scoreline.

Please see our File Setup Guide for more information.

Hemp Paper for Cannabis Art

We believe cannabis-inspired art should be printed on cannabis-based paper.

We’re beyond excited to be part of the global movement to rebuild the hemp industry!

Starting with our stationery and fine art prints, we’re showing the world what cannabis can do.

Why Hemp Paper?

Hemp paper isn’t better by default just because it’s made from our favorite plant; it’s better because it’s more versatile, more sustainable, and longer-lasting than tree-based paper.

  1. Hemp paper feels like a high-quality, premium product (because it is!)
  2. Hemp paper will generally outlast tree paper. It’s acid-free and contains very little lignin, which means it won’t turn yellow and fall apart as tree paper does
  3. Hemp paper is good for the environment. Hemp requires fewer inputs to grow and process and produces more paper per acre than trees with less toxic chemicals
  4. Cannabis-inspired art printed on cannabis paper is at least twice as cool as cannabis-inspired art printed on trees (just kidding… sort of)

About Potography

Potography is a community for cannabis-inspired artists founded in 2019. Through our monthly photo contests, Potography promotes gratitude and appreciation for cannabis and the community of artists it inspires.

We print as many products on hemp as we possibly can because we believe hemp is an under-utilized resource with unmatched sustainability attributes and market potential.

Potography strongly believes cannabis prohibition (in all forms, including purchasing limits in legal states, plant count limits, etc.) is a gross injustice and the only criminals involved in cannabis are those who seek to keep the plant away from others through prohibition, regulatory capture, or any other legal or non-legal means.
